  1. Its an insult that Vikram is still in Jail the spineless Embassy and a nonchalant MEA are to be blamed. His detention is a grave violation of the due process which the Americans harp about so much and the fact that it is a blot on American Judiciary goes without saying.

  2. It is sad the way we Indians treat a former Navy Captain and a Supereme Court advocate. Imagine the same thing happening to an American, how would their government and general population react ?

My thoughts rest with the parents of Vikram. May he see quick and just end to this shame of an imprisonment.

  3. I am an Indian origin American who live in US last 7 years. It is absurdity to claim that his threat to kill a sitting president was "freedom of speech". There is clear law against threat of violence to a President. Even if he hated Bush and oppose his policies; what kind of wicked person he was to call for the "rape and killing" of Laura Bush. He honestly thought he is too smart to get caught.
May be his almost 5 years prison is too harsh punishment for his criminal foolishness. Everyone knows that he didnt intend to commit murder. But it is also relevant that he committed a number of other crimes such as ID theft and hacking. I hope he will be deported from US without incarcerated him further in prison.
